Grant Writing Committee Members and Committee Chair

The Board is seeking a handful of motivated individuals to help the SCA seek alternative funding possibilities through grants.

The Board is seeking individuals with grant writing experience and who understand the grant application process. Individuals should have superior writing and grammar skills, as well as the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Also important are an attention to detail and the ability to understand financial and budgetary matters.

• Create, design, and implement a grant writing proposal process for the SCA.
• Identify and target grant programs for which the SCA could qualify including researching where to find appropriate funding.
• Other tasks could include creating a common grant application format as well as exploring the possibility of outsourcing to a professional grant writing consultancy.

The Grant Committee will report directly to the Board (via Ombudsman) as well as interfacing with other members of the Corporate Officer Staff (President, Society Seneschal, Treasurer, etc). One committee member will be selected by the Board of Directors to act as the Grant Writing Committee Chair and Project Manager.
